Pressing On, Staying In, Moving Forward

Are you excited to carry the momentum of your dreams, goals, and projects into the last quarter of 2025?

Or maybe you’re stalled and exhausted.

Perhaps you cringe when someone reminds you the year is almost over.

Or you feel a wave of shame about all the things you “should have done” by now.

Here’s the truth: there is no magic in a date on the calendar. The magic is in your willingness to move, start, continue—or even end something that no longer serves God’s purpose for your life.

This morning I was struck by Nehemiah’s words as he faced relentless distractions:

“I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” —Nehemiah 6:3

Nehemiah refused to let opposition pull him away from the assignment God had given him. And maybe you need that reminder today too.

Some of us are already on the ladder of our assignment—we simply need to stay the course.

But others of us have come down. We’ve paused. We’ve delayed. We’ve burned out. We’ve been too afraid to even begin, even though deep down, we know God has called us to this work.

Your “assignment” may look like:

  • Caring for aging parents
  • Finishing a major project at work
  • Staying faithful in a hard marriage season
  • Setting a boundary where you’re being taken advantage of
  • Saying no
  • Saying yes
  • Starting, starting over, starting again
  • Launching a non-profit
  • Writing a Book
  • Going back for continued education

If you’ve stepped away, it’s not too late. You can climb back up the ladder and begin again. You would be amazed at what God can do through you in the final quarter of 2025.

The work is still worth it. The assignment is still waiting. And you are still called.

Cheering you on,
